Instructions to Authors In order to expedite publication, we request that you use the standard LaTeX or Microsoft Word templates described below in preparing your manuscripts. Some exceptions are possible - please contact Tom Herbst.
The suggested page length limits are as follows: Short Oral Presentation or Poster: 5 pages maximum Review Length Oral Presentation: 10 pages maximum New Due Date: 20 October 2005 |
Proceedings Format
The proceedings will be a large format, soft-cover book, similar to NASA, ESA, etc. special publications, or SPIE conference proceedings. We will also make the proceedings available on worldwide web and CD-ROM. Although the manuscripts may contain colour figures, please check that they reproduce well in grayscale.
LaTeX Macro and Microsoft Word Template
Due to the familiarity of many authors with SPIE publications, we have decided to adopt a similar manuscript format. Ken Hanson at LANL has kindly provided suitable templates:
Both of these downloads contain a Permission to Publish form, which you should return with your submission.
Please send us the PDF output, and as backup, the source files.
Also, please adhere to the guidelines included in the package, and make sure your manuscript produces reasonable PDFoutput before sending it to us.

The Ringberg workshop was sponsored by the Max Planck Society, and their grant covers the cost of one copy of the proceedings per participant. Please contact Tom (herbst@mpia.de) if you need additional copies.
