A newborn
star (cross), deeply embedded into the dusty molecular cloud out of which
it was born. It is not visible in the optical range, but can be observed only
in the infrared light. It emits a bright, ionized gaseous jet in polar direction,
illuminates an extended reflection nebulosity, and excites the line emission
of the Herbig-Haro objects HH 28 and HH 29. See page 2329.
