Observing the Big Bang

Observing the Big Bang

The intention of this course is twofold. The first goal is to develop a deeper understanding of the Universe, and in particular those aspects of our Universe which contain large amounts of information about the evolution of the cosmos. The second goal is to develop a sense of astonishment that one can construct a theoretical framework in which to interpret the vast and diverse observational cosmological dataset, and that this framework appears to be remarkably consistent with the observations. We will discuss the successes of this framework, and we will discuss also challenges that lay ahead.
