Blair Conn (Astrophysicist - MPIA)

I am currently working as an Alexander von Humboldt fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg, Germany.

My main research focus is on understanding the outer disk of the Milky Way through Multi-band Wide Field photometry coupled with multi-object spectroscopy.

I’m interested in learning more about the structures present in these regions and what they can tell us about how the Milky Way formed and through what processes.

I also have an interest in collisional ring galaxies and have an ongoing project related to transient search for extra-solar planets.
