NEW web-page!

We are still in the stage of moving all information from the old to the new page. So, please check the old page if you miss an information on the new page. The old webpage will not be updated anymore.

IMPRS-HD has been established 2004 and started its academic activities 2005.

IMPRS-HD aims to offer outstanding research and training opportunities with excellent instrumental, observational, and theoretical research facilities. Research at IMPRS-HD covers a wide range of topics in astronomy and astrophysics.
IMPRS-HD is open for students from all countries and offers several three-year fellowships available for both international and national students. We invite highly-qualified students who aim for a doctoral degree in the area of astronomy or astrophysics to apply.
The IMPRS program of the Max Planck Society celebrates its 10th birthday December 2011.

Since autumn 2007 IMPRS-HD is an independent part of the Heidelberg Graduate School of Fundamental Physics, HGSFP. A poll published 2010 by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) concluded that Heidelberg is Germany's most popular university for international doctoral students.
