About me

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Galaxies and Cosmology department of the Max-Planck-Institut for Astronomy in Heidelberg. As a member of the Galaxy Structure & Dynamics research group I am involved in the scientific exploitation of the CALIFA survey, where I study the integrated and spatially resolved kinematical properties of galaxies across the Hubble sequence and their mass distribution.

My main research interests focus on the stellar population properties of early-type galaxies and globular clusters, as derived from their near-IR light, the calibration of stellar population models and their use to derive spatially resolved star formation histories in galaxies (using adaptive optics assisted 3D spectroscopy).

In the Research section you will find a summary of some of the scientific projets that I am currently involved in.
